Cabernet Grape Seeds

To Germinate: Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours; perform a process called "stratification" by placing the seeds in a damp paper towel, sealing them in a plastic bag, and refrigerating them for around 2-3 months to mimic winter conditions; after that, plant the seeds in a seed-starting mix and keep them warm and moist until germination occurs, which can take several weeks.
Type of soil: grow best in well-drained, moderately rocky or gravelly soils with medium-high drainage. These conditions help keep the roots from getting too wet, which can harm the plants. Soils that are low in nutrients encourage the vines to focus their energy on ripening the fruit, resulting in smaller, more concentrated berries. Grapes grow best in places with long, warm summers and not too much rain.
Fertilizer: 21-6-11, one cup per plant about every other year.
