Chardonnay Grape Seeds

To Germinate:  Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours; perform a process called "stratification" by placing the seeds in a damp paper towel, sealing them in a plastic bag, and refrigerating them for around 2-3 months to mimic winter conditions; after that, plant the seeds in a seed-starting mix and keep them warm and moist until germination occurs, which can take several weeks.

Type of soil: Chardonnay grapes grow best in limestone, chalk, and calcareous clay soils. A mix of sand, silt, and clay that drains well and retains nutrients.

Fertilizer: 21-6-11, one cup per plant about every other year.
